The Greatness Of God

God is eternal. He is unchangeable, all-wise, all-just, all-merciful, omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.

Children, the last time you told me how God made the sun, the moon, and the stars. Perhaps you will tell me about them again to-day. What does the sun make you think about? What do you think about when you look at the moon and the stars? Why did God make the sky so beautiful? Why do you like to look at the clouds? What can you see that is beautiful in the morning ? What is beautiful in the evening?

Why does God take so much care of us? How long has God taken care of people? Who was the first man? Who takes care of the angels? Who gave the angels life? Who made your body so wonderful? How can you see so much with such little eyes? Why are you able to talk? Who put all those wonderful sounds in your voice? How can you let other people know what you are thinking about? How can you make people happy with your voice? How can you honor God with your voice?

Who made the world? How long did God live before He made the world? How long did God live before He made the angels? How long has God been just as He is now? How long has God been God? How long has the Father been God ? How long has the Son been God? How long has the Holy Ghost been God?

Yes millions and millions of years make no change in God. He is always the same wonderful, good, and loving God. How long will God be just as He is now? How long will God be God? How long will God the Father be God ? How long will God the Son be God? How long will God the Holy Ghost be God ?

What did God give us so that we can write? How do you make others happy by writing? How can you put your thoughts on paper? How do you think? Who gave you your soul? Why do you like to think about God? Why does it make you love God more to think about Him? What do you think about God when you look at all the good things in the world? Why did God make the world? Why did God make the sun? Why did God make the moon? Why did God make a hundred million stars? Why did God make the flowers ? Why did God make the birds ? Why did God make the bees? Why did God make the ocean? Why did God make the fishes ? What shows that God is all-wise?

How many people does God know ? How many people that ever lived does God know? How many people that will ever live does God know? What does God know about us all? What does God know about what we do? What does God know about what we think? What do you think about God when you look at the sun? What does the moon make you think about? What thoughts come into your mind when you look at the stars? What do you think about God when you look at all the people around you? What do the pretty flowers make you think about? What do you think when you hear the birds singing?

What does God know about our prayers? What does God know about our love? What made the saints so holy? Whom did they love best of all? What saints do you know? What did God know about the saints? What did He know about their prayers? What did they do for the poor? How did they act towards everybody?

What do you know about St. John the Apostle ? On whose breast did he lean at the Last Supper ?

How long did he live ? Who saved him from the tank of boiling oil? Do you know what he used to say to the people when he was a very old man ? He was so old that he could not walk. So he used to ask them to carry him out to the people. Then he would repeat over and over again : “Little children, love one another.”

What does God know about the stars? What does God know about the moon ? What does God know about the sun? What does God know about the earth ? What does God know about the trees and plants ? What does God know about the blades of grass? What does God know about the flowers? What does God know about the ocean ? What does God know about the grains of sand on the seashore ? What does God know about the animals? Who knows how many animals there are in the world? Who gives life to every little bee? What does God know about all the fishes in the sea? How much, then, does God know?

What does God know about what will happen tomorrow? What does God know about what will happen next year? What does God know about what will ever happen? Who knows when we are going to die? Who knows when the world will come to an end?

What does God do for us when we are good?

What kind of actions will God always reward? What will God do when we are kind to others? What will God do when we help others? What will God do when we give something to poor people? What will God do when we do our work well? What will God do when you obey your parents? Who taught your mother and father to love you so much? Who helps them to keep you good always? What will God do when you say your prayers well every morning and evening? What will God do when you go to Mass every Sunday and Holy Day ? What will God do when you go to Confession and Holy Communion often ?

Why do we say that God is all-just? What does God reward? What does God punish? Why is God even good to bad people? What is God always ready to do for bad people? When will God forgive them? Why do we say that God is all-merciful?

Why do you always forgive those who do you harm? What do you do when somebody says mean things to you? What do you do when somebody strikes you? What do you do when somebody tells lies about-you? Who is pleased when you forgive others? Who taught us to forgive others? Why do you always try to speak to others in a nice pleasant voice? Why do you always try to be kind to others? How can you help others to be happy? Why do you always try to be cheerful?

How does the sunrise happen to be so beautiful? How did the little bees learn to make honey? Where did all the animals come from? Where did the sky come from? Who makes our heart beat? Who keeps the fish alive in the ocean? Who guides the earth in its path around the sun? Where did the angels come from? Where did all the people in the world come from? How did God make everything in the world ? Why did He not need anything to make them out of? What can God do? Why do we say that God is almighty? What does God have to do to make anything?

What part of us is made to the image of God? How long will our soul live? Who will keep our soul alive forever? Who gave the angels life? How long will the angels live? Who will keep the angels alive forever? Who will raise up our bodies on the last day? Why can God easily give us back our bodies on the last day? How long will our bodies live after that? Who will keep our bodies alive forever? How long shall we love God ? How long will God love us? When do we go to our true home’ ?

Why do we think more of heaven than of this world? Why do you always try to make others happy? Why do you act nice at table? What does it show when you eat slowly and keep from making noise? Why do you always pass things to others at table? Why do you say “please” when you want something at table? How do you show that you love your family? How can we show that we love God? What can we do for others to show that we love God? What kind of people love God? How can you help others to be good? What kind of people are happy?

When is God with us? In how many parts of the world is God present? Where was God when Adam and Eve sinned ? Where was God when Cain killed Abel? In what part of the Bible can you read about Adam and Eve and Cain and Abel? Where was God when Noah offered his sacrifice? Where can you read about Noah’s sacrifice?

Where was God when Abraham took Isaac up the mountain to sacrifice him? Where can you read about Abraham and Isaac? Where was God when Joseph’s brothers sold him? You can read about Joseph in the Book of Genesis, too. There God tells us all that happened to the Israelites. You know they were God’s chosen people. They are called Jews now.

Where was God when the holy martyrs died for our Faith? When is God present in heaven? With how many angels is God present in heaven? With how many saints in heaven is God present? Where, then, is God always present? Why can God be present everywhere at the same time? When shall we be able to see God?
